1. Purpose

This Fair Use Policy ensures that all Senshin users enjoy a reliable, high-performance experience. It defines the usage limits associated with each plan tier and explains how we enforce them.

3. Soft and hard limits

Soft limit (80%): When you reach 80% of any resource limit, you will see a warning in the app. No functionality is blocked.

Hard limit (100%): When you reach 100%, the specific action is blocked (e.g. creating a new project, making an AI call). Existing data is never affected.

We allow brief spikes above hard limits during peak usage. If sustained overuse is detected, we will notify you before taking any action.

4. AI usage

AI calls include: chatbot questions, reasoning runs, escalation drafts, suggestion requests, and any endpoint that invokes the AI engine. Limits reset daily at midnight UTC.

Enterprise plans have unlimited AI calls. If your organisation has specific throughput needs, contact us for a custom agreement.

5. Storage

Storage includes: uploaded artefacts, ingested documents, export packs, and cached AI results. Project data (RAID items, activities, finance records) does not count towards the storage limit.

6. API rate limits

API requests are rate-limited per user to ensure platform stability. Rate limits are enforced per minute. If you exceed the limit, you will receive a 429 (Too Many Requests) response. Wait and retry.

7. Enforcement

We enforce limits in the following order:

  1. Warning: In-app notification at 80% of any limit.
  2. Soft block: Action blocked at 100% with upgrade prompt.
  3. Grace period: Short spikes are tolerated without penalty.
  4. Notification: If sustained overuse continues, we email you with options.
  5. Account review: Only in extreme cases of abuse (automated scraping, API flooding).

We will never delete your data due to plan limits. If you downgrade, existing data is preserved but you cannot create new items beyond the lower limit.
